A successful physician for 10 years and a real estate investor and developer for 17 years, Craig Bittner will complete his law degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law in 2013. A cosmopolitan man, Mr. Bittner practiced in Beverly Hills, as well as in a poor rural area near Bogota, Colombia. He recently traveled to 22 countries in less than two years. Craig Bittner handled both the hands-on and business sides of his private medical practice and utilized his business skills to create a multi-specialty medical practice with 12 locations across the United States. These clinics provided medical treatments, educational programs, and public screenings.
A member of The Johns Hopkins Medical & Surgical Association, the American Medical Association, the American Heart Association, and the American Bar Association, Craig Bittner earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Miami, studying abroad for his sophomore and senior years at the University of Kent in England and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia. At The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Mr. Bittner earned an Otolaryngology Student Training Fellowship Grant and went on to receive a Doctor of Medicine. Craig Bittner also completed a medical/surgical internship, a residency at UCLA Medical Center and fellowship at Stanford University Hospital, earning research honors throughout his medical training. In his medical career, he conducted research on novel, minimally invasive operating procedures, developed new CT and MRI imaging techniques, and treated more than 40,000 patients.
Craig Bittner has lived in the United Kingdom, Colombia, Brazil, and Indonesia. In his real estate career, he purchased and developed residential and commercial projects in the United States and Brazil. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, as well as English, he continues to seek opportunities to learn and grow. Equally successful in law and medicine, Craig Bittner excelled in a recent UCLA School of Law Mock Trial Competition. When not pursuing his academic or business interests, he enjoys traveling and kite surfing.
